St. John's Church, is the Church of England's Parish Church for Longhirst and is run
as part of a local group of Churches alongside St. Margaret's Chapel, Pegswood and
St. Andrew's Church, Bothal whose website can be found in "Links". Sunday Services
therefore are shared between the three churches and this means there is a fortnightly
Sunday Morning Holy Communion Service at Longhirst. To see how this works out each
month please click on "Services" above.

St. John's is home to a living church which seeks to faithfully carry out its mission
within the Parish and beyond. Alongside our neighbouring Churches we seek to encourage
a more informed grasp of the Christian faith through study groups and to encourage
children in the faith in our Family Services.

Church members are very involved in all that goes on in the village and wider parish
and you can find out much more about village life by following the link in
    "Longhirst Village Website".
St. John's is a Grade II listed Victorian building with an interesting history
associated with the well known Joicey family.
